At the 6th International Symposium on Downsyndrome held in Palma, Majorca, the boards of Downsyndrome International and the European Downsyndrome Association (EDSA) decided to claim March 21st as World Downsyndrome Day. The 21st day of the 3rd month was chosen in order to highlight and promote a greater understanding of Downsyndrome which is associated with 3 copies of chromosomes 21 (Trisomy 21).....
